The 11th edition of the International Symposium on Computers in Education (SIIE 09) will continue to promote the presentation, reflection and debate of the latest advances in research and practice in the field of Information and Communication Technologies applied to Education. This event is held alternately in Spain and Portugal and is a reference, particularly in the Ibero-American context.

Following a cycle of ten years, it is important to strength SIIE internationalization, encouraging original contributions in English (preferentially), Spanish and Portuguese.

The thematic areas of the Symposium include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Design, development and evaluation of educational software
  • Innovative ICT experiences in education
  • ICT methodologies in educational contexts
  • Social aspects of ICT in educational contexts
  • Teacher training in ICT
  • Accessibility and usability
  • Ubiquitous/mobile computing in education

  • Special Education needs and ICT

Paper publication

Accepted papers will be published in the Symposium Proceedings (CD-ROM with ISBN), that will be distributed to participants.

Best papers will be selected, according to the Program Committee evaluation, to be published in:

Submissions

All contributions must be sent as PDF (preferential) or Word files, and follow the official ACM Proceedings Format guidelines available in http://www.acm.org/sigs/pubs/proceed/template.html.

Papers contributions will be limited to 6 pages and Posters contributions to 2 pages.

All proposals must be anonymous, without the name of the authors or the name of author’s institution. These data must only be included on the formulary submission.

Submissions must be made electronically using the conference management system available in the SIIE 2009 web page.
